Work with your contractor or homeowner on the job specifics so everyone is on the same page and the project runs smoothly.

Once you have chosen a contractor or found a homeowner to work with on a project project, you are now ready to begin. First create a Buildproof account and then click the green Create Project button.

A series of screens will appear, asking you questions about your project that are needed to properly manage the project. Answering these questions to the best of your ability is very important for your project's success. Remember, this is not a contract. It is designed to facilitate communication and so both homeowner and contractor are confident about the payments and the project management. The questions define what the project is, what specifically needs to be done, directions for the contractor and payment installments for the property owner.

At any time during this process, if you are unsure of how to answer a question, you can: refer to the explanations on the screen, read our Worksite Communication brief, go through the Frequently Asked Questions, or contact us. And remember, you can always change this information any time during the course of the project.

With all the pertinent information in the system, all parties will have a clear understanding of the expectations and the true nature of the project, leading to a much smoother and successful endeavor.
