Communicate, Monitor & Manage
After you have Posted your Project, it is time to start work! Your Buildproof Project Page shows you all the pertinent details in one central location, and is where you will manage that work, add additional details, and make secure payment transactions.
On the Project Page, you will be able to:
- Communicate with your Contractor/Homeowner about the Project
- Any communications (verbal, written, etc.) that affect the Project are recorded on your Project Page. Any additions, deletions or changes are made on the Project Page, a copy of those changes will be sent to the other party for approval. Once this happens, a permanent record of your communication is recorded in our system.
- Using our system in this way keeps your communication centralized. No more shooting emails back and forth or worrying if you were both on the same page after a conversation.
- Monitor Progress of the Project
- Keep track of what work needs to be done, when it's due, and who's responsible.
- Account for the monies you are using for the Project. Using the three "Buckets" on the page you will have a birds-eye view of the amount of money on account, the dollar amount of work that has been completed, and how much has been paid out to date.
- Calculate the amount of work that has been completed on the Project and translate that work into corresponding payments. The "Sliders" on the page allow you to indicate how much work has been completed, which are automatically deposited in another bucket to illustrate the running total of the work completed to date.
- Manage the Details of Your Project
- Deposit funds into your secure Safehouse account.
- Input Project details - down to what kinds of materials you would like, what color you want something to be painted, or the dimensions you would like for your kitchen cabinets. This level of detail allows for the documentation of important details that might not be in your contract, and ultimately leads to a more successful, smoother project.
- Release funds from the Safehouse. The system will alert you when enough work has been competed to warrant payment. When all parties agree to this claim, funds are released to the contractor.
